Simple Wholesome Banana Bread

Banana bread is one of those comforts that make me feel like everything in life is great. This recipe is simple, wholesome, easily made Gluten Free or regular flour and uses only dates and banana for sweetness. It freezes well too, making it great to make a few loaves at a time!

2 Cups flour (Regular flour or Bobs Red Mill Gluten Free blend)

2 Cups Mashed Ripe Banana

1/2 Cup Dates (If they aren’t juicy soak them in hot water)

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1 Tbsp Cinnamon

2 Tbsp ground flax or chia + 6 Tbsp water

1-2 Tbsp walnut/pumpkin seeds/chocolate or whatever you want!

Preheat oven to 375

  • Mix flax and water. Mash banana and dates then add both into food processor. Blend.

  • (if you do not have a blender or food precessor just use your mixing tool to blend up.)

  • Mix all dry ingredients in separate bowl.

  • Adding in wet ingredients, mixing well.

  • Put in a non stick bread pan top with seeds or whatever you want and bake 35-40 minute until golden on top!
