What is it about being on my period that makes me feel like it is my inherit right to eat as much chocolate and peanut butter as I like? Maybe hormones, but most likely cause I do deserve it.

Even though I eat healthy and live in a fit body doesn't mean I lost my inner fat kid. I still love big bowls of chocolatey ice cream with chunks just like I used too.

Only now...I have a way to satisfy and delight my inner fat kid while staying on a healthier path. When I discovered Banana nice cream my world changed. I had NO IDEA frozen ripe bananas could be transformed into velvety soft serve ice cream!! The banana flavor can be masked if a fat source like peanut butter, coconut milk, avocado, or tahini is added.

Will and I have a tradition every Sunday- we make homemade blizzards with whatever flavor and toppings we fancy. Last night was over the top- Dark Chocolate peanut butter ice cream, peanutbutter cups and a little leftover maple doughnut a friend made us crumbled on top.

Oh-My-Lanta. Everything in me sang hallelujah. Thanks be to all that is!! To have something that good, be that cheap, that easy, and that satisfying should be praised! I will steer you in the direction of amazing nice cream but PLEASE let your creativity and pantry lead you exploring!

1. Peel a few spotty ripe bananas.

2. Break them up and put in freezer.

3. When frozen solid, blend with a blender/food processor/immersion blender with a splash of almond/plant milk to get it going.

4. Add a couple spoonfuls of peanut butter, dash of vanilla, and coco powder.

5. Once your base is done go wild with toppings!!!

We added Justin's dark chocolate peanut butter cups, and a little leftover maple doughnut! If you are wanting sherbet, frozen mango or dark cherries make amazing bases as well.

Not only are you eating delicious frozen treat but are getting other benefits from the bananas your eating! Like great source of fiber, high source of vitamin C, B6, Ribloflavin, potassium, and manganese. At 100 calories a banana you are getting more to eat without too many calories.
